Hello, My name is David Fickas, I have a Immigration problem with my wife. Miriam De Jesus Obando Montero came to the United States with her 1st husband, both are from Costa Rica, her husband left her while she was pregnant in 1994, Miriam found some friends, and got a job Illegally, she was caught. the judge told her she must leave the country and return home 3 months after the baby was born, Brian was born March 4th 1995, Miriam did not leave, she survived and took care of her son, in 1996 Helen was born, and yet Miriam was left again to take care of the children on her own, I met Miriam in 1999 and married her in 2001, 2005 brought my first son into this world Dave Jr. Together we have 3 US born children that are so wonderful words cannot describe. In 2006 we went to a Immigration lawyer to try and fix her problem, that lawyer scared us into leaving the country, we were told if Miriam gets caught she will be deported, so June 26 2006 we sold everything we owned and moved to her home country of Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a nice country, but the government here did not recognize her divorce from her 1st Husband which was executed in Colorado. So I become the Illegal alien. after 2 yrs of being here in Costa Rica I still have no job and my papers were finally filed with the government as the spouse of Miriam. My children and I are now almost destitute as I cannot work and the age discrimination here is rampant, Miriam cant get a job that pays over 1 us dollar a hour. WE NEED TO COME HOME!!! All of us have US passports except Miriam, I cant even apply for a visa for her until I have been here LEGALLY for 6 months. I need help!! I need guidance!! My children have the birth right to be raised in America and to be raised by the mother and the father. I am a Army veteran, I served my country, I need my country to help me, I need anyone to help me please I am begging. We do own our house here in Costa Rica and have a buyer for it so we would not be broke upon return to the USA. I also have family to live with until we can get on our feet and obtain employment...If you can help me i would be forever in your debt.
