> Us Citizen Trying To Get Wife And Newborn Here From Aruba
My cousin is a US citizen from New Hampshire. His wife is from Aruba. They got married in Aruba and had a baby. Right now she and the baby are trying to come here but they are having trouble. Can someone help us?

I think I have some tips for you that may help, but I am not sure what the correct answer. Anyway, maybe this will help:

- The marriage must be valid in Aruba, I am sure there is some sort of paperwork, etc. they can get to show that
- The baby is an American citizen as far as I know as the father is a citizen. Make sure the child is registered with the US embassy  and get a birth certificate for the child. Maybe even a U.S. passport if possible
- Make sure Aruba allows for dual citizenship or find out how that works over there
- Even though the marriage happened in Aruba, you may have to get married again in the U.S., so you may want to look into a K-1 fiancé visa for the wife to enter the U.S.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
