[ok so my aunt has met a guy for a total of 5 days from Haiti and he wants to marry her. He is here on a 2 year student visa that his sister sponsored for him. They have plan to marry in July of this year. What is the protocol, I think she is making a big mistake and that he is only using her to get status in the states for a green card. I have researched and read that he may have to go back to his native country, Haiti, and then apply for permanent residency and if then approved he can come back. what is it that has to be done if in fact she does not change her mind and does decide to want to marry him?
