I had changed my visa status from B1 to H1 and need help to sort some queries. Below is the detailed description.

My employer (not a big company but sort of out sourcing consultants) had already filed my h1b papers and I got approval also under 2007 h1 cap. As I was about to take up the h1 interview in Chennai (India) but had to travel to US for my previous Indian company who filed my b1 visa .I came to US on B1 visa on 20th Oct. 2007 and then my employer asked me to transfer my b1 to h1 in US itself and it got converted on 22Nov as I received the H1 paper with approval notice.

Now my concern is the following :

1.Can I go to Mexico for stamping as I have done my bachelors engineering degree in India. ? and if I can go to Mexico or Canada then what are chances of my h1 visa approval ?

2.Also after how many months should I go for stamping ? Like when I have the enough pay stubs and tax papers and other mandatory documents required to be shown at h1 stamping in Embassy?

3.Also what are the chances of getting approval if I go back to India and get it stamped back there ?

Should I go to Mexico or India for stamping ?

Please give me the clear solution for this .Really getting confused as no one is having a clear idea on this immigration policy. Waiting for the reply
