Hi all Tell me how this works
I held a green card for well over 15 years. Left the U.S. on vacation in 2005 could not return because I was taking care of my very old, ill grandmother. I was told I would be able to file an s1b form and have my mother refill for me. Problem is
I failed to file tax returns for 94-95. I did not owe money so I never filed. Will this be a problem at my interview. And should I file now?

Thanks

I think your situation is very similar to thousands of other green card holders too that leave the U.S. and end up staying overseas for a longer period of time. Are you still abroad now? The key is that your intent was never to give up your U.S. residency. You need to proof this. I would recommend that you talk to somebody regarding your situation before you go to the interview to avoid any problems. Maybe a tax person can back file for your, just to be on the safe side, but it maybe to long time ago. Good luck!
