They took it away from him. He entered the country again to help me raise our kid. We ended up having two more. Right now he is in jail facing re entry. I need help raising my kids. I am really sorry for you, I am almost in the same case too. My loved one is being deported to Vietnam, and I can't imagine of being half way around the world from him.
I asked for help from many lawyer, and the answer is "there's nothing we can do for him". No body's going to listen or gives him a second chance because his conviction of an aggravated felony-sexual abuse of a minor. I just stand here and see they take my boyfriend away, my green card is conditional, I just cannot even file a petition for him.
However, you have a better position than me. You and your three children are US citizens. Your hardship would be the best way to keep him here. You need an attorney who's really good at deportation defense. Good luck for you.
