> Pending Felony Charge & Just Had Ins Interview. Now What?, Will I get deported or ever become a citizen?
A couple of years ago I fell on some hard times and ended up getting evicted from my apartment along with my boyfriend. After about a year of bouncing between crashing at friends' places, we found ourselves at a motel where we stayed for the next year. Our rent was $350 a week, every week, $1,400 a month. Needless to say, even with both of us working full-time, money was extremely time and I got caught up with dealing methamphetamine as a sort of second income that helped to ease the situation a bit. During that same year, I decided to apply for citizenship fearing that, with all the political hysteria that was swelling, it was either "now or possibly never". In November, my luck at not being noticed by the police ran out. I got arrested. On Monday I had my interview and everything was going great until the end when the interviewer asked me if I had ever been arrested? I looked at her and said yes and told her for possession and sales of methamphetamine. She listened to my story and told me that she would need a copy of the police report and the court's verdict before my citizenship process could finalize. I'm scared at what might happen to me. If the court is lenient because I'm a first-time offender will I have to wait until after my probationary period (if-at-all) to become a citizen or worse yet, if the course isn't lenient, will I ever be able to finish my naturalization process or could I possibly face deportation? If anyone can clue me in I'd appreciate it very much. I've searched online endlessly but it's a very complicated situation and I'm not sure what web sites are giving factual, legal information and which one's are just nonsense. Thanks.

wow, that sounds serious! but, how long have you been in U.S. and ...I would a had a consultation first...things now these days is not linient as made my self harder of my stay here...as was arrested for DUI 6 years ago and had domestic dispute during 89 as I was about 21 yrs old and voted once in 98<< another mistake! and being here since I was 12 years old ..I thought I was a citizen for three decades now and didn't know about my permanent resident being expired until now, I thought they would send you a notice letter about renewing your green card (permanent resident alien card)!... let me know what went on. good luck!

so you were arrested for that, then had an interview ...why didn't you get a consultation first before you've done this? that one would of been a red flag to your interviewer, is this your first time but even though a they'll go by the law!
