> Lost Visa, What Can I Do, Lost B-2 Tourist Visa
My name is Anna and I am a Korean citizen. I am in New York City and have lost my passport and my 5-year visitor visa. I am going to get a temporary passport tonight from the Korean Consulate Emergency office. I however need to get my visa also to go to Brazil and be able to get back into the US before I go back to Korea. If I am registered in the immigration system, what do I need to do to get a copy of my already existing visa? If I reported my passport lost, does the visa still work? Please help. Thank you so much.

Hi Anna,

I am sorry to hear about your situation. It is not cool to loose your passport. I lost mine too once. But, the most important thing is of course that you get your new passport back. With regards to the visa, I would contact the USCIS. Check on www.uscis.gov and try to call any office in the area you are and ask who to be referred to. You may also want to talk to your embassy. If you had other visas in your passport too, then you need to contact the government offices in those countries. I do unfortunately think this will take some time, but it is never convenient to loose your passport.

Good luck.

S.L.
