Hello Members. I am posting this on behalf of my Brother who is going to travel to US. He is traveling on a L1 Visa and his wife is presently working with an IT company in India. Her company does not have projects in the place where my brother is posted for work. So she is planning to take a break (Not Resign) from her work and travel on L2 Visa. As his assignment is going to be for a period of 1-2 years, she is planning to work in the mean time. Her company is willing to provide any type of service letter without her resignation. With this background, we have few doubts that needs to be clarified:

1. Can she work for any company in the US? (Assuming that she will get her EAD and SSN Processed)
2. Will this work experience (In the US) affect her re-entry if her company decides to send her on L1 - To be more descriptive - If she gets back to India after 1 or 2 years and starts working for the company that she worked for earlier and at a later date the company decides to send her on L1 would there be any immigrations issues? (The problem is she wouldn’t have quit the company but would have had work experience as L2 in the US)
