> K1 Visa And Staying In Us
Hi all,
I've been living in Mexico with my Mexican Fiancé for 2 years now. We're planning on getting married here in Mexico next November, but would like to be able to travel to the US beforehand so that he can meet my extended family and just to visit.
My question is, with the k1 visa, after getting married in the US do you have to stay in the US for a certain period of time after getting married? If we do use the k1 visa to get him to the US, get married in the US but then return to Mexico is that ok?
Basically I'm trying to figure out how we could go about taking our trip to the US before getting married, if it's possible at all, or if we just need to wait until after we get married.
We're not trying to move to the US at this time, just visit!

Thanks for any help

Take some pictures with your fiancée in Mexico, come back to the US alone.
File for your fiancée while he is still in Mexico. Wait six months or less for an approval letter for an interview with the American Embassy in Mexico. Then, your fiancée will be able to travel to the US and you will be giving about 90 days to marry in the US, and finally file in for his/her residency. I went through this process about 2 years ago. My fiancée was from Africa.

You will not get a visa for your fiancé to come to the US and marry from my understanding. Maybe, from Mexico, it is different. I am not sure. Do your home work. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! We're not trying to move to the US though so we don't want to file for his US residency, just trying to find out the best way to get him to the US for a visit. If it's not possible with the K1 visa we'll just have to wait until after we get married I guess..
