I am a permanent resident since 1987, for personal reasons
I went to live overseas 5 years ago, but because,
I still run my own business by computer, I can do it from wherever
I am, so I have a job, I support my ex wife and 2 kids,
I have address, bank acc, credit cards, for under my name,
driver
license, I pay taxes, and everything that any body that live in
USA has, is like I'm there, the thin is that
I'm not, and now I have to come back because
I found that my ex wife and mother of my two kids has cancer,
I am sure that she is going to get well, I like to be very optimist about it, but she is going to go thru the treatments that are not very
pleasant, I like to be there with my kids and help her in anything they may need.
I am getting a new passport from my country, and money is no problem,
I have my resident card, the one that has no expiration date, because my father is
American citizen, like my mother brothers and sisters and my two suns.
my questions are?
Does
immigration knows if you left the country 5 yrs ago?
If they ask you how long you had been out of the country, do they have any way to check it if your
passport is totally clean?
If they do and
decide that they not going to let me in, and
I decide that I don't want to go back, I will go thru the court
system, I can pay the bail if I have to, and then w an attorney and all the proves and witnesses that
I live there, I will get away.
worse case scenario.
question, can
I do that?
Another option is go thru
Mexico and cross the border with the resident card and driver
license and maybe my car if is necessary.
Question, do you need a passport to go to
Mexico? or any ideas.
I don't have to
much time to decide under this circumstances, so if somebody can give me some advise,
I will now what I'm facing, but nothing will be as bad of what my ex and kids are going to get thru the next months. thank you
