Hi my name is Diane I am a US citizen born and raised. I have been married to an illegal immigrant from Brazil for the last 2 years and we have a 20 month old daughter. My husband had to return to Brazil in May 2008 to get documents that prove he has a clean criminal record. I just sent that off to immigration 3 weeks ago and am waiting for a interview date for him in Rio. I have been advised that we should do the I 160 waiver because they could tell him he can not apply to come back in the USA for 10 years. My daughter is falling apart, she misses her daddy so much we talk everyday and web cam on the weekends but she is so confused about all of it. I have been told the waiver is a long shot if neither her or I are ill. I was just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this issue for me, for us.
