Me and my wife have been married for 3 years now and we barely file a petition for me. She is an American citizen and I am here illegally. we filed back in September, and now we are having some problems and think that we might get a divorce. so my question is what would be process to cancel the petition and would that effect me in any way in the future when I would want to fix my immigration status. We have only received a receipt of the money order that was sent with the application. please I would appreciate any advise
