I married my American citizen husband, and all was well until he filed for my green card. He started cheating, abusing me etc, and I couldn't take it, so I packed my bags ad left to come to Canada. I am now trying to get him to divorce me, but he keeps coming up with excuses as to why he cannot do it. This was a real marriage; I just couldn't deal with the pain any longer. I am a Zimbabwean citizen. Is there a way I can file for divorce from here because I am not able to go to USA for a divorce hearing until I receive my documents from here(which might take a while)?
