> Father Deported In 1998, Can he come back?
My father was deported in July 1998 on a drug charge. He initially came to the US as an immigrant in 1974, got married, and became a permanent resident. He was convicted in (aggravated felony) in 1991. He served 5 years in a federal prison and was released in 1995. His deportation hearings and appeals went on for 3 years and then he was deported. He's been out of the country for a considerable amount of time (10 years to be exact). Is there anything that I can do to bring him back to the country legally? Even if it's just to visit? Is there any kind of waiver that I can file specifically because so much time has passed? I have an appointment with an attorney next week, but am quite anxious for an answer.

A response is greatly appreciated!
