My green card was stolen 4 days ago. I have been trying to contact immigration office, however, I have not been able to get hold of anybody or have not been find out what I have to do.
I actually have sent an application to renew my green card this January since it was required, so the new card should come soon. The card which was stolen expired, however, I had it with me until the new card comes. I still need to report this matter. Also, I want to know if I still have to renew a card or just report it because the new card is coming. Please help me and tell me what I have to do. Thank you.

Hi date, you need to get a police report. That is for sure. You also need to find out the status of your other card. It should not take over 6 months to receive it - something seems wrong. Call the USCIS. If you cannot get through, maybe an info pass appointment will help you?
