I have heard now that the State Dep. is finally catching up on all the backlogs of passports that have been in process. Apparently applicants that have paid for the expedited service but not received it can get the fee refunded. I did not know that.

On January 1, 2008 everybody must have a passport to cross any border by land, sea or air, so I guess there will be a new rush for the State in Nov/Dec. again. It shall be interesting to see how that goes.

I would have just made sure I got my passport ASAP. The application madness will continue....
