My E2 visa will expire in May 2008 and I would like to know how to renew it. I cannot get out of the country and make it approved in France (where I am from) since my investment is not big enough for them. Do you have some tips for me?

The first time our renewal came up we had our lawyer submit it.
Everything was done through the mail.
But the last renewal even though our lawyer submitted it we had to go to Canada to the us immigration office in Toronto. It was a bit of a joke. Thinking we were going to be asked all sorts of Question regarding the business all we did was pay something like $50. and we got a new stamp in our passports.
If you live in southern ca and want the name of our lawyer be happy to give it to you.
YOU DO HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL OF SOME OF THESE LAWYERS.

Thanks a lot. I hear you about the "joke", the same thing happened to us for our H1B visa (we travelled to Amsterdam, paid a fee and that was it!). As for the lawyer, we do have one, Wolfsdorf, who is very good, but expensive, this is America...How much did you pay for the E2 renewal?
As for your other post asking for the permanent residence, I have read somewhere than you need to have a capital of $1 million and hire 10 persons. At this point, basically you "buy" you green card. Your lawyer must know about this.
