> Does Anyone Really Believe That We Are Capable Of Stopping Illegal Immigration?
In 1986, the Congress last passed comprehensive immigration reform legislation that was supposed to halt illegal immigration and end the need for amnesty. 20 years later, America is inhabited by 12 million illegal immigrants who are scheduled to receive amnesty.

Based on the Congress' own analysis, 20 years from now, thanks to this proposed legislation, America would have only had nine million illegal immigrants instead of 12 million living within its borders. Only in Washington, D.C. is that considered a grand bargain. No wonder Ted Kennedy was a lead sponsor of the legislation.

Proponents will argue that the CBO statement focused on the "flow," not necessarily the illegal immigrants who will successfully make it into the United States.

Does anyone really believe that we are capable of stopping all of the 75 percent of illegal immigrants who would have continued to flow across our porous border???

Chris

No, I don't believe we can stop it until we join with Latin America and Canada to have an American Union. Only then, will the economies we destroyed in the 50's through the 80's have the opportunity to repair themselves, and only through a unified monetary unit, much like the Euro did for the European Union.

The problem is, we have spent years destroying economies in places like Central America through our foreign policies that financed wars there and illegally murdered freely elected political leaders there. Now, the people who endured this have not respect for our laws, much as we had no respect for theirs. Until we demonstrate a willingness to set this right, we probably will continue to be he victim of our own stupidity.

Through a union, we harness the Americas greatest assets...natural resources, research & development, technology, global markets, and we all see a rise in the monetary value.

This victim mentality we have in the U.S. over immigration is a bit self-serving. Had we left those countries alone to begin with, they probably wouldn't have been forced to immigrate here.

is almost impossible to stop immigration, now they are making a wall that is only a waste of money .
I am an immigrant from Mexico like a lot of us we came because our politics are not near to fix our economical problems and we live, in extreme condition of need for food and more
sometimes our only choice is to take the risk at cross the border don't matter what and now here we are
my only problem to understand some of my paisanos is that they never change the keep been the same for years and years
myself I try to change for good learn the language and integrate to technologies and stuff

I hear this a lot u.s.a is a country of equal rights, equal opportunity, no discrimination, protector of human rights but that is only words
most of Americans hate us.
secretary of state wish the worst for any human life that is not white.
I love this country but their people hate me oh well is been like that and always be.

Just know that not ALL Americans hate you and a good share of Americans feel for what you have had to endure.
I don't believe that they will ever be able to stop illegal immigration, these people are living under dire circumstances
and will risk their lives to be able to provide for their families. I say, God Bless Them
