> My Daughter's Case
Please do help me. I am a permanent resident in Maryland. I have a daughter left back home in the Philippines and her visa expired last January 2007.I wasn't able to bring her with me since I am not secured at that time and no one will take care of her. Her father and me are not married. I am married and separated for 9 years. I filed for divorce last July 2007. I have my summons already for uncontested divorce. My little one's father too was married and separated. He and his mother is taking care of my little one. I am very sad for what is happening back home. I decided to get her. Please do help me. I beg of you as a mother. She needs me. I needed your advice. She will turn two years old by October 21. Thank you very much and God bless.

If you are a permanent resident, you can have you daughter apply for a green card through you. But, it will probably take a long time before she will receive it. If you really want to be with your daughter but she cannot come to the U.S., then I recommend you go back to where she is and stay with her. Just try to make the best out of the situation you are in. There may not be any "good" solutions to your case for the time being.
