> B2 Visa For Wife, Married Living In Tijuana Mexico
Hello,

I need some help, I'm a US Citizen living in Tijuana Mexico and I cross the border daily to go to work. My wife is a Mexican Citizen with a B2 Visa that will expire soon, she is currently not working, so my income is for both of us. We are not planning on living in the US anytime soon so I don't see the need to get a permanent residence card, but she does cross the border maybe once a week to go shopping or sightseeing or whatever. If I am the only person with an income, will there be any problem when she applies for the B2 visa again, if I am her source of income?

Thank You!

Estolano,

What you need to look at are the terms for getting a B2 tourism visa. Your wife needs to satisfy the requirements for returning to Mexico. Does she do that? Does she have a home there? Can she support her trips? Does she have anything to show for? She needs to satisfy her ties to Mexico in order to be granted the visa.

In the long term the best thing would be for you to get her the green card and then U.S. citizenship. After that you will both have no problems living anywhere.
