> Can I Work As Permanent Resident On An American Cruise Ship?
I am a legal us permanent resident and are planning to become a us citizen once I am eligible. I would like to work on a cruise ship (an American cruise line), however, I was wondering if the time in international waters is considered me leaving the US?
As pr, immigration regulates the time I can spend away from the states to keep your status. Also, I have to stay in the US without larger breaks to become a US citizen. Does anybody know if it is OK to work on a cruise ship in my situation without hurting my current status as pr as well as being eligible to become a US citizen? I wasn't able to find useful information online so far.
